Modul Sustainable Real Estate Development

Module No. M-REM4-006

The module "Sustainable Real Estate Development" consists of the two courses "Real Estate Development" and "Real Estate Sustainability". Students aquire an advanced understanding fo real estate development issues including developer calculations, feasibility studies and market and location analysis as well as legal aspects and sustainability. The link between development and architechture is also stressed and focues upon in a case study project.

This module is one out of three elective modules within the Master of Science in Real Estate programme. Students have to choose two of the following:

• Real Estate Valuation
• Sustainable Real Estate Development
• Real Estate Investment

Lecture 1: Real Estate Development
Course No. L-REM4-010

The course aims at providing profound knowledge in the areas of:

• Feasibility Studies in Real Estate Development
• Developer Calculation and Investment Models
• Legal Aspects in Real Estate Development

Major aim of the course is to work on a real life project which will be handed in as case study at the end of the course and will be defended in class.

Lecture 2: Real Estate Sustainability

The course "Real Estate Sustainability" aims at providing profound knowledge in the areas of:

• Fundamentals in Sustainable Development
• Technical Aspects of Sustainable Real Estate Development
